Micayli Wells: Blog Post #1

I am extremely excited to study in Seville, Spain and have many expectations for this semester! One of the reasons I decided to study abroad this semester in Spain is to be immersed in the Spanish culture and improve my spanish. I want to be able to talk to people fluently and converse with people of other cultures. Another reason for going abroad is that I want to travel as much as possible and studying abroad will allow me to do this. I grew up traveling and love visiting new countries, so my hope is that I will be able to see the majority of Europe from studying abroad in Seville. I will hopefully be able to travel most weekends and am sure I will make great friendships along the way. This experience will allow me to venture out into the world and gain a better understanding of what life is like out of the United States. I am so grateful I have this opportunity to study in Seville as it has been a dream of mine to study and live in a Spanish speaking country since I was young. I cannot wait to document all of my travels and see how I grow throughout this semester.
