Lucy King: Blog Post #2

Hey, y’all!! I am so excited to share my second blog!!! I made it to Barcelona and have had such an incredible time so far. I spent the first couple of days a bit jet lagged and getting used to my new surroundings. I have loved exploring Barcelona, including the culture, people, cuisine, beauty, and views. In the beginning, it was definitely a little difficult to navigate a new routine. However, I have found this experience so rewarding. During our first week, we had orientation. I saw some familiar faces so this calmed my nerves. I am taking two classes at CEA CAPA and one at the University of Barcelona. During our first weekend, we decided to take this time to explore our new home. I was truly in awe of how AWESOME this city is. We started school which definitely took some getting used to, but I love my professors/classes. On our second weekend here, we decided to take a tour of the beautiful mountain town of Montserrat. I had been here before but was still in awe of the beauty. The next weekend we went to visit some friends in Madrid who were also studying abroad. I had the best time in Madrid seeing some friends from home! I am so incredibly excited about all the upcoming trips that we have planned and cannot wait to create new memories. I am trying to create some sort of routine here. Something that I have really enjoyed doing is listening to music and taking a walk around the port and the beach. It is so incredibly calming and beautiful. I look forward to keeping y’all updated with my life in blogs to come.
