Reflecting Over My Time Abroad

Hi guys, welcome back to my last and final blog. I have been in the States for over a month now and have had some time to reflect on my time abroad. All I can truly say is that I am so proud of myself for taking that jump to study abroad. I still remember being so scared when I found out I was the only TCU student going to Sevilla, but today, as I reflect on my semester abroad, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My time abroad taught me a lot. I feel like a whole new person coming back. Taking the jump to study abroad at 19 years old is something I will never forget. Through this, I learned to become a more social person. I made amazing friends from all across the U.S. I learned to try new things, new foods. I learned about my passion for traveling that I didn’t know I had before. I was privileged enough to travel to 7 different countries and 10+ cities. My time abroad is a time I will never forget in my life.  As a Latino first-generation college student who comes from a low-income background, I am truly grateful for having been able to Study Abroad. I would study abroad 1000 more times if I could. If you find yourself in the shoes I once was, debating on whether or not you should study abroad, I say do it! Be brave and try something new! What is the best that could happen?

Lastly, I  would like to say thank you to TCU Financial Aid, TCU Global, T3, FWAbroad, and FWHCC, who all played a role in making this Study Abroad experience possible.

Thank you guys for tuning in!
