The Center for International Studies hosted its first annual Study Abroad Banquet on Friday, April 1. Attendees included study abroad alumni, international students, faculty leaders, and the winner of the Larry Adams International Experiences Award.
This year’s winner was senior political science major, Madeleine Bailey, who studied human trafficking in India last summer and returned to TCU to form a chapter of International Justice Mission. Her advocacy efforts have raised more than $20,000 for local and international charities fighting human trafficking.
Dr. Larry Adams was also in attendance on Friday. The Larry Adams International Experience Award, named in his honor, is presented annually to undergraduate study abroad students who exhibit global citizenship following their time abroad by engaging in a significant project or activity that exemplifies internationalization.
