Procedures for TCU Programs Traveling Abroad

All faculty and staff leading TCU programs abroad must follow certain procedures:
- Attend a faculty/staff orientation offered by the Center for International Studies
- Have the students watch the online orientation for undergraduate or graduate students.
- Have the students complete their Emergency Record on the International SOS website (log on to http://my.tcu.edu and look for International SOS under "Helpful Links"
- Be sure all students register and complete indemnity forms online (coming soon!).
- Heed Public Announcements and Travel Warnings according to the TCU policy
- Make arrangements for and carry a cell phone which works in program site locations abroad
Program leaders must also submit the following to the Center for International Studies prior to departure:
- Dean or department head’s endorsement
- Detailed itinerary, including arrival and departure information, housing information, & contact information for faculty, staff, and on-site support
- Emergency response plan.
