Why Study Abroad

Why study abroad?

  • Explore new cultures -- TCU offers over 50 programs in 25 countries around the world, including Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia
  • Academic credit -- use our search engine to find your major and minor classes abroad.  Many CORE classes are offered too.
  • Experiential learning -- you are doing, seeing, exploring, and learning by engaging all of your senses
  • Affordablity -- tuition is the same as at TCU, program fees are similar to TCU housing, and Financial Aid and Scholarships are available
  • Stay as little or as long as you want -- programs range from 3 weeks to a full semester or year
  • Build important life-enhancing skills --  students feel they are more self-confident, flexible, curious, and capable because of studying abroad
  • Gain international perspectives -- through studying abroad and the Certificate in International Studies, you'll be a global citizen prepared for the 21st Century
  • Learn more about the world around you, make new friends, and develop your own sense of independence.

Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime experience, so don’t miss your chance to do it!
